Brass, Copper bonded steel
- A brass hex coupling is often used in lightning and grounding protection systems as a connector for two lengths of copper grounding wire or rod. The hexagonal shape of the coupling provides a secure grip for tightening and loosening with a wrench or pliers.
- Brass hex coupling are similar in function to brass round coupling, but the hexagonal shape provides several advantages. The flat sides of the hexagon provide a stable surface for gripping with a wrench or pliers, allowing for a more secure and tight connection. The shape also helps to prevent the coupler from rotating or coming loose over time, ensuring a durable and reliable connection.
- The coupling may be threaded on both ends to allow for easy installation and disassembly, and may also be available in different sizes to accommodate different diameters of grounding wire or rod.
