This was a particularly significant event, marking the first time the Prime Minister personally chaired a conference dedicated to expressing appreciation and recognition for the contributions of the business community throughout the country’s development journey. The presence of Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phuong – Chairman of Cat Van Loi – at this national-level event underscores the company’s growing position and reputation within Vietnam’s private economic sector.
A Strong Message from the Head of Governmen
In his opening remarks, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that during the 2021–2025 period, the country faced unprecedented and complex global and regional challenges. Businesses had to confront numerous difficulties, including supply chain disruptions, market shortages, fluctuating tariffs, and natural disasters.
Nevertheless, thanks to strategic policymaking and decisive governance, the economy has overcome these obstacles and achieved comprehensive and significant results across all sectors. This serves as a foundation for pursuing the ambitious goal of double-digit growth—described by the Prime Minister as a “mandate of the nation.”
He reaffirmed that enterprises are at the center and act as the driving force in achieving growth targets of 10% or higher, contributing to the realization of the country’s two long-term centennial goals. All policies, he stressed, must be directed toward supporting businesses, while enterprises themselves must actively participate alongside the State in building institutions, policies, infrastructure, and national governance.
The Role of Private Enterprises in a New Era
The conference took place amid remarkable progress in the private economic sector. According to a report by Deputy Minister of Finance Cao Anh Tuan, the business sector currently contributes approximately 60% of GDP, employs more than 16 million workers, and plays a major role in total import-export turnover.
By the end of 2025, Vietnam had over one million active enterprises, representing an increase of more than 25% compared to 2020. Notably, following the Politburo’s issuance of Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW on private sector development, entrepreneurial momentum has surged. Since May 2025, an average of 18,000 new enterprises have been established each month—up 38% compared to the average of the first four months of the year.
Within this dynamic landscape, Cat Van Loi, under the leadership of Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phuong, has established itself as an integral part of a vibrant and forward-looking private business community, consistently aligning with national development goals.
Cat Van Loi – A Journey of Resilience and Determination
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phuong’s participation in the Conference represents not only a personal milestone but also recognition from the Government of Cat Van Loi’s tangible contributions to the economy. Built on a spirit of bold thinking and action, the company has steadily strengthened its brand in its field, created stable employment opportunities, fulfilled its tax obligations, and actively engaged in community and social initiatives.
For Mr. Phuong, being present in the same hall as the nation’s top leadership, listening directly to strategic directions, and feeling the Prime Minister’s sincere appreciation serves as an invaluable source of motivation for Cat Van Loi to enter a new phase of development with greater determination.
Aspirations for Industrial Self-Reliance
Over nearly two decades, under Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phuong’s leadership, Cat Van Loi has grown from a small enterprise into one of Vietnam’s leading manufacturers of industrial electrical equipment.
“Participating in this conference is a powerful motivation for us to continue investing in high technology and green production. Cat Van Loi is committed to partnering with the Government to achieve self-reliance in supplying materials for key national projects, reducing dependence on imports,” Mr. Phuong shared on the sidelines of the event.
Today, Cat Van Loi’s products are present in major domestic projects such as metro lines, thermal power plants, and Long Thanh International Airport, while also being exported to demanding markets including Japan, New Zealand, and ASEAN countries—contributing to national export growth and GDP.

Commitment to National Goals
In his closing remarks, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh reaffirmed that the business community has always stood alongside the Party, the State, and the people—especially in disaster and pandemic response—and will continue to be a pioneering force in achieving double-digit growth in the coming years.
The Government pledged to consistently support businesses, placing them at the center of service; to foster a transparent, stable, and predictable investment environment; and to proactively listen to and resolve challenges faced by enterprises.
Leaving the Conference with strong commitments from the head of Government, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phuong and the Cat Van Loi team carry not only pride in being recognized but also a heightened sense of responsibility. Private enterprises, including Cat Van Loi, are no longer merely policy beneficiaries but are increasingly becoming architects of growth—working alongside the State and society to realize Vietnam’s aspiration for prosperity and sustainable development.
