This morning, on October 12, 2023, the Bureau of Enterprise Development, Ministry of Planning and Investment, and the Private Sector Competitiveness Enhancement Project in Vietnam (IPSC) organized a ceremony to award Leadership Coaching Expert Certificates based on the International Coaching Federation (ICF) standards to 50 experts within the Ministry of Planning and Investment's business support network.
These experts were selected from more than 300 registered participants and took part in a training program following the ICF standards, consisting of a series of both in-person and online sessions spanning nearly a month from September 7th to September 30th, 2023. The program was led by international and domestic instructors, including experienced ICF Professional Certified Coaches (PCCs). After completing the training, these experts received certificates for completing 36 out of the total 65 hours of the ICF ACC certification training program. They are now able to apply coaching techniques to support businesses in creating more sustainable value for the Vietnamese business community.
Coaching for businesses is still a relatively young field in Vietnam, and there are only a limited number of ICF-certified experts. After finishing their training, these consulting experts will be included in the database managed by the Ministry of Planning and Investment, allowing small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to have better access to a network of coaching experts.
The Leadership Coaching Expert training program, based on ICF standards, is one of the initiatives aimed at building a coaching/advisory network for growing small businesses in Vietnam. It falls within the framework of the Private Sector Competitiveness Enhancement Project in Vietnam (IPSC), funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and overseen by the Bureau of Enterprise Development, Ministry of Planning and Investment.
