TCVN 9208:2012 Replaces TCXDVN 263:2002.

TCVN 9208:2012 replaces the standard TCXDVN 263:2002 according to the provisions in Article 1, Clause 69 of the Law on Standards and Technical Regulations, and Point a, Clause 1, Article 7 of Decree 127/2007/NĐ-CP dated August 01, 2007, issued by the Government detailing the implementation of certain provisions of the Law on Standards and Technical Regulations.

TCVN 9208:2012 was compiled by the Hanoi Architectural University, proposed by the Ministry of Construction, endorsed by the Directorate for Standards, Metrology, and Quality, and officially published by the Ministry of Science and Technology.
Scope of Application:
1.1. This standard specifies the technical requirements for the installation of cables and conductors used in alternating current up to 24 kV and direct current up to 1500 V for industrial projects. The electrical wires and cables are mainly placed in cable trays, ladder trays, cable boxes, conduit pipes, cable ducts, cable trenches, cable tunnels, and underground blocks and may be suspended on steel cable supports.
1.2. This standard does not apply to the installation of overhead power lines for outdoor substations and overhead power transmission lines.
1.3. This standard does not apply to projects with special technologies such as underground structures, ports, airports, oil processing, etc., but can be applied to civil projects.
1.4. This standard does not apply to oil-filled cable systems and devices used in oil-filled cable power grids.
1.5. When installing electrical wires and cables, in addition to complying with this standard, one must also satisfy the requirements specified in other relevant documents.
1.6. When installing oil-filled cable power grid systems, compliance with industry standard 11-TCN-19-2006, sections II.3.50 to II.3.59, is mandatory.
