On November 22, 2023, the middle-level management team of the G.I Cat Van Loi electrical conduit manufacturing plant participated in training sessions on quality management according to Japanese standards, organized by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) at the Vietnam-Japan Human Resources Cooperation Center (VJCC) in Ho Chi Minh City. VJCC receives support from the Japanese government and JICA to develop high-level human resources for manufacturing enterprises in Vietnam.
The training course on "Quality Management according to Japanese Standards" covered topics such as process quality management, the 7 Quality Management Tools, handling customer complaints, 7 Improvement Tools for IE production, visual management 5S, effective work skills - Horenso, and Kaizen field improvement. For production and quality management professionals, the 7 Quality Management Tools serve to improve quality, address arising issues, and ensure customer satisfaction, leading to profitability and success for the business.
The course "Design and Improvement of Production Processes based on SOP & Six Sigma" is an in-depth program on techniques and methods to enhance the quality of production processes. It focuses on two main themes: SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) and Six Sigma. SOP helps participants gain knowledge on designing and implementing an effective SOP system in the production process. Participants learn how to create efficient production processes and the necessary steps to implement them. Additionally, participants learn to optimize production processes using SOP and ensure their continuity. Six Sigma includes techniques and tools to improve the quality of production processes. Participants learn how to apply the DMAIC method to identify and solve issues related to product quality and production processes. Furthermore, participants learn to measure and evaluate the impact of Six Sigma solutions on the financial efficiency of the organization.
The graduation ceremony was attended by Mr. Furudate - Deputy Consul General of Japan in HCMC, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thu Hien - Director of VJCC, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. To Binh Minh - Deputy Director of VJCC.
