The representative of the High-Quality Vietnamese Goods Project - Integration Standard conducts periodic assessment and evaluation of the quality management system and 12 management criteria at Cat Van Loi factory

On November 7, 2023, Mr. Võ Minh Quân, Specialist of the High-Quality Vietnamese Goods Project - Standard Integration, visited and exchanged with Mr. Lê Mai Hữu Lâm, General Director of Cát Vạn Lợi Industrial Electrical Equipment Production Joint Stock Company. The meeting took place at the office located at 47 Street 12, Cityland Park Hills Urban Area, Ward 10, Gò Vấp, and the CÁT VẠN LỢI Steel Pipe and Electrical Conduit Factory - Lot F1.2, Street 8, Ho Chi Minh City Automobile Mechanical Industrial Zone, Hòa Phú Commune, Củ Chi District, Ho Chi Minh City. The purpose was to conduct an on-site evaluation of the company based on the 12 criteria of the HVNCLC - Integration Standard.

The evaluation findings are summarized as follows:

REVIEW OF BUSINESS MANAGEMENT SYSTEM DOCUMENTATION:

• Production and business activities involve numerous orders and the construction of a new factory. However, there are challenges related to policy mechanisms, investment costs, and funding for the industrial sector. Additionally, facing competition in the Chinese market.

• The company has set a goal for 2024: Focus on developing internal resources, building a system suitable for the current economic situation in the Vietnamese, ASEAN, and Japanese markets.

• The primary goal is to develop high-quality Vietnamese brand products that meet international standards for G.I. conduit pipes: UL 797, ANSI C 80.1, ANSI C 80.3, ANSI C 80.6, BS 4568, IEC 61386, JIS C 8305; Lightning protection & grounding system: IEC 62561; Grid-type cable tray system: IEC 61537; Galvanized threaded rods & supports for MEP electrical systems: DIN 975, TCVN 1916.

• Cát Vạn Lợi has established an excellent information technology system and is actively promoting digital transformation.

• The company has well-defined production processes and plans, adjusted to fit reality.

• Customer focus: Emphasis on industrial sectors and foreign customers such as Toshiba, Hitachi, Yamato. Also involved in tenders for projects by Toshiba, Doosan, Ricons, Hyundai, Unicons, Hòa Bình, and others.

• The company evaluates suppliers based on criteria such as quality, price, delivery time, payment, and supply capacity.

• Implementation of corrective actions for non-conforming products is monitored using internal ERP software.

• Regular leadership reviews and evaluations of departmental activities are conducted monthly/weekly. Annual meetings for summarizing activities.

• Environment: The company complies with legal requirements.

• Financial and tax matters: The company fulfills social insurance obligations and tax duties.

• The company has welfare policies for employees, including effective implementation of occupational safety and health issues, support for disabled workers, and health insurance support for employees.

• Maintenance, inspection, and calibration of equipment are carried out as needed. The company ensures safety conditions for fire prevention and environmental protection as per regulations.

• The company submits occupational safety reports to the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs. Regular health check-ups and health insurance for employees are planned, and environmental monitoring of labor conditions is carried out.

3. CONCLUSION OF THE EVALUATION TEAM

Cat Van Loi Industrial Electrical Equipment Manufacturing Joint Stock Company complies with the requirements of the High-Quality Vietnamese Goods - Integration Standard, qualifying for the extension of High-Quality Vietnamese Goods - Integration certification in 2023
