Three-piece couplings for IMC/RSC conduit are used in electrical installations to join two lengths of IMC/RSC conduit together. The fitting consists of three parts: a compression nut, a compression ring, and a body. The compression nut is threaded and is used to tighten the coupling onto the ends of the two conduit sections. The compression ring fits between the conduit and the coupling body, and when the nut is tightened, it compresses the ring onto the conduit, creating a tight seal that prevents moisture, dust, or other environmental factors from entering the conduit.
