Clamping fixtures are used in conjunction with resistance welding molds to securely hold the mold in place, preventing the metal from flowing out during the welding process. Additionally, clamping fixtures are used to grip, manipulate, and move components of the welding mold (inserting and removing), which helps to reduce risks for the operator.

Characteristics:
- Used in grounding and lightning protection systems
Resistance welding is a method that uses explosive thermal welding flux in a welding mold to heat the mold up to nearly 3000°C to weld materials such as copper, steel... grounding rods, copper-plated steel rods, copper rods, iron rods with copper cables in lightning protection grounding systems, electrical safety grounding systems, or lightning protection wire connections. Resistance welding is effective with a simple implementation method, durable weld joints, and economically efficient. Resistance welding is recommended for application in grounding systems by many international technical standards such as IEEC, IEC, NEC, ASME…
Resistance welding is a molecular weld, using the thermal reaction of aluminum to generate heat to melt the metal in a heat-resistant closed mold. The reaction occurs as follows:
3CuO + 2Al -> 3Cu + AL2O3 + 2537 degrees Celsius
At this temperature, common metals such as iron, copper, aluminum... all melt and mix together into a block, hence called a molecular weld. This type of welding can bond different types of metals together without requiring them to be the same material. Furthermore, because it is a molecular weld, it conducts electricity very well, making it highly effective for grounding systems.
Advantages:
- Good lightning conduction and no increase in resistance over time
- Welding flux is highly flammable, easy, quick, and safe to use
- Permanent and seamless bond with no joints
- Compatible with various types of connections (T-type, U-type, parallel...)
- Resistant to corrosion, oxidation, aesthetically pleasing, and durable
- Cost-effective for users
The implementation of resistance welding is simple and convenient. Prior to construction, only the welding mold and appropriate welding flux for grounding connections need to be prepared. There is no need for complex power sources or wiring; only a flame to ignite the welding flux powder is required to perform resistance welding. Construction technicians do not require highly skilled craftsmanship; they only need to set up accurate and standard welding molds to carry out resistance welding.
